Skitour "Alpe di Siusi"
The pistes are splendid, professionally maintained and suitable for all. The descents from Hotel Gonzaga to Pian Frataces, and from Piz Sella (2,284 metres) to Monte Pana (1,636 metres), and from Seceda to Santa Cristina are particularly spectacular.
The tour departs on skis from the door of the Hotel Bed and Breakfast Gonzaga and descends along the piste, through the woods, to Pian Frataces. Going through the tunnel, you cross the road for Pordoi, and take the path that leads to Col Rodella. You go down the piste which leads to Selva di Val Gardena, and half-way along the route, before Plan de Gralba on the left, you take first one chairlift, then a second, to get to Piz Sella then descend to Monte Pana, but be careful, as immediately below Piz Sella, the route goes left, follow the signpost. At Monte Pana take the skibus to Saltrià (1,700 metres) and take the chairlift number 65 up then down and then up again to Punta d'Oro (2,210 metres), chairlifts numbers 70 and 71 take you down and then up again, with the number 75 down and then up again, with the number 60, after a brief descent, you go up again with the chairlift number 69, down, and up again with the number 59 and from there, down again with the number 1 cable car to Ortisei. Cross the town on foot by taking the La Curta Tunnel, and the cable cars 2 and 3 to the top of Seceda (2,518 metres) from where you go down to Plan De Tieja, the Val Gardena Ronda Express Metrò takes you to Santa Cristina. The Saslong cable cars numbers 17 and 18 will take you back to Ciampinoi, then down again to Plan de Gralba, and back to the Hotel Bed and Breakfast Gonzaga, following the arrows and green signs for Sella Ronda.
It's important to be back at Plan de Gralba by 3 p.m. in order to get to the Pian Frataces Cable Car before it closes.
