Giro delle Dolomiti

4th stage of the cycling tour of the Dolomites

The sport association Giro delle Dolomiti - Dolomiten Radrundfahrt organises the 38th edition of the "Giro of the Dolomites" (an amateur and tourist cycle race), that will allow two choices:

1. complete Giro: 6 stages, from July 27th to August 2nd 2014 (no races are foreseen on Wednesday, July 30th);
2. short Giro: 3 stages, from July 31st to August 2nd 2014. The courses of this Short Giro will be the same foreseen in the same days for the complete Giro in 6 stages, but with separate classified results.

Participation in single stages is possible. Participation is open to competitors, tourists or amateurs, men or women. Junior applicants (less than 15 years) shall not be admitted.

Traffic will not be prohibited during the race. Riders must therefore obey all traffic rules in force. It is mandatory for riders to wear helmets.

Run Sellaronda: Bolzano, Ponte Gardena, Ortisei, Selva di Val Gardena, Passo Sella, Passo Pordoi, Arabba, Passo Campolongo, Corvara, Passo Gardena, Selva Gardena, Ortisei, Ponte Gardena, Bolzano. Timed stretch from Selva di Val Gardena to Sella Pass. Lenght 10,5 km; difference in height of 709 m.

Start: at 7.30 a.m. in Bolzano. Arrival at 5.30 p.m. in Bolzano. IV stage: km 158,9. Difference of level 3.284 m.
